Excerpt:
"They’re gonna kill him and everyone in his house. That’s all I know.  I’ve told you everything, please let me go!" Joseph pleaded. Warren looked at Sergio, who nodded. He began to change back into his human form. His fur receded, his body returning to its normal size. He dressed quickly. "We have to tell the others," Sergio stated as he pulled on his t-shirt. "I know." Warren looked at Joseph. He knew now, for certain Xander’s words were ringing true. What they were doing and what they were going to have to do went beyond the law. Believing he got all of the information he could and not wanting to take Joseph with him, he broke his neck snapping the bones instantly with an audible crack. Without to waste another second, both men left the apartment after wiping their finger prints clean. They took the back exit, leaving Joseph’s broken, crumpled body slouching in the wooden chair. "We should hurry, we don’t want anyone seeing us leave," Warren said as they sprinted to their cars. "We have to tell the others about their plans now," Sergio said as he opened his car door. Both men climbed into their automobiles, pulled out their cell phones, calling home as they drove toward Darian’s mansion. Sergio waited for Elise to answer, as soon as she did, he started speaking. "Elise, get over to Darian’s right now, he’s under attack!" he blurted out before Elise could speak. "We’re on it," she said, hanging up the telephone. She called to the others. Everyone came running to her. As soon as they were all present she told them what they had to do. "Holy shit! Let’s go!" Devin exclaimed as he raced toward the front door with the others following behind him. They ran to the garage, climbing into two separate SUVs and sped out, heading toward Darian’s mansion. Warren called Sergio on his phone as he sped through busy traffic. "Yeah?" Sergio asked. "Did you get in touch with them?" Warren inquired. "Yeah, they’re on their way there now. What about you?"
"Xander and the others are also heading to Darian’s home. I didn’t get a chance to tell them anything else."

"Same here. This shit is all fucked up and I want to get to the bottom of it. Who hired these assholes?" Sergio wondered.

"I’ve got a good feeling that we’re going to find out soon enough. We need to keep one of these assholes alive for one of the vampires to question later. Something tells me that one of them will probably be able to gather more information."

"Steve Sanders," Sergio suggested.

"Perfect."
