The virus, which is turning the world’s population into zombies, is spreading faster than either of them would have imagined. Chaos now plagues what is left of society, leaving death and destruction rioting in the streets. Many of the survivors have gone into hiding in order to stay alive.

Jade and Kylee refuse to hide. The need to find their families is even stronger than their will to live, and it is the driving force on the journey to find their loved ones.

“Please … please let them be alive.”
I received a beta copy of this book in return for an honest review and all I can start off by saying is “OMG, WOW”. This story had a lot of ups and downs and is an emotional roller coaster ride. There is still a quite a bit of humor and I did laugh and smile and while reading, started thinking about the personalities of these two authors standing out in each character. There was a few times where my heart felt heavy and I felt sorry about what these characters had to face and a couple of times I literally bawled my eyes out. I also love the new characters that are introduced into the story and I hope we will get to know more about them. This is a phenomenal RECOMMENDED READ that will entice and intrigue you to keep reading, with lots of action and suspense that lurks around every corner. There is never a dull moment in lives of Kylee and Jade in their days to come of Zombie killing. You will be addicted to this story from beginning to end. These authors have an amazing writing style that will lure you in and keep you thinking long after you have finished reading the book. I do, however, recommend that you read book 1 before reading this one, so that way you get the full story on how this all started. Thank you K.B. Miller and Jennifer Malone Wright for another awesome action pact story, where “Zombie hunting IS my day job.” I give this story 10+*s.

Once upon a time, my world was normal.
There is no going back to the way it was. In a matter of days, we have seen devastation and chaos take over. It’s spreading fast, too fast to fix, leaving society in ruins and turning cities into ghost towns.
People are disappearing quicker than I would have ever expected. In the short time we have been on the road I haven’t seen many people, but the zombies are everywhere. They walk around aimlessly, in search of fresh meat … in search of us. It’s probably safe to assume that anyone who has survived so far has gone into hiding, only to come out when they need something.
Most people were not prepared for the shit hitting the fan. And very few of those who did prepare actually thought it would be a fucking zombie apocalypse; I sure as hell didn’t think it would be what fucked up our world. I was more concerned about a nuclear war, or China finally wanting to collect on all that money we owe them. I don’t know, anything but zombies.
At this point, Kylee and I have to take it one step at a time. My family is far away from where we are, and Kylee’s home is closest, so that is our first destination.
Each day is a different adventure and a new test of our strength. Our friendship has been strengthened, but tested at the same time. Ky and I, we are two very different people, and in some ways it’s a challenge to be around each other for very long.
In other ways, it’s a balance. She strengthens me where I am weak and makes me see a softer side when I am too harsh, which I tend to be more than I want to admit. I’d like to think that it’s the same for her as it is with me.
One thing I know for certain is that I wouldn’t be able make it through this without her. I guess if you’re going to be stuck smack in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, it’s always a plus to be stuck there with your best friend.
Onward we go, each day bringing us a little bit closer to our loved ones … our husbands and children, the people we would die for. Hopefully, when we find them, they will be alive.
