Love.
The worst of all four-letter words.
Nothing trumps it, but loyalty.
Just as treacherous. Just as devastating.
Both have ruled over me for as long as I can remember.
Love.
I stared down at my hands and spotted the slight tremor.
He always does this to me. Always.
My name is Dorin. I’m a vampire. I’m a slayer of the king of all vampires.
Dracula or as I knew him, Vlad the Impaler.
But before I killed him, I loved him.
More than anything. More than salvation.
For that, I traded my soul…

I have read almost everything this author has ever written and she has yet to disappoint me. I loved how seductive, sexy, and addictive this story was. I feel sorry for the main character Dorin and the demons that he battles while staying loyal to Vlad throughout this entire story and up to the very end. Dorin's love for Vlad was so strong and so amazing. He was extremely dedicated to his King and I absolutely loved that because no matter what got thrown at him, he was still all about Vlad. This author has a way of making me want to devour this whole story in one setting and keeps me turning page after page from beginning to end. This is a mind blowing read that I highly recommend to adults only.

This book gets my five fuzzy handcuffs review and more. Bravo to Ms. Volley.
