🎁🔔🎄 AUTHOR Q & A: MEET P MATTERN 🎁🔔🎄

Welcome back to Black Words-White Pages!! This week, I sat down and chatted with P Mattern!! So check out below what we talked about!!

AUTHOR Q & A: P MATTERN

Do you have a particular writing habit?
I write every single day-I usually have several WIPs and 3 publishers so what book I write on depends on whether I have a deadline and/or which one is running through my head!

Do you have any advice for other writers?
Yes I do! I think the most important thing is to realize that our inspiration comes from beyond ourselves (how else do we wake up with concepts and also entire chapters and titles in our heads? Or get an entire concept for a new book from a dream?) So my take on this phenomena is that authors should be grateful for inspiration and none of y'all are geniuses because we all get help to fulfill our destinies!

Any song or songs that could basically sum up the overall mood of this book?
Phucky the Elf Plays Matchmaker is hilarious so any funny song like "Santa Got Run Over By A Reindeer' would DO!

Do you plot out your books or just freely write them and let the characters tell you what to do next?
I think inspiration for most writers floods in , especially when we least expect it. I have gotten inspiration while in the shower (a big one for most authors), driving, writing on a different work in progress, etc. I am a Pantser and rarely write any sort of outline at all, unless I am co-writing in which case we put our heads together and coordinate what we want the characters to experience during the course of the novel.
I think it is so much fun to give characters free reign and they will surprise you EVERY TIME, especially with twist endings!
